About Sister Joanne: |

| My name is Sr. Joanne Picciurro. I am the Pastoral Associate for Parish
Ministry. I am a Franciscan Sister of Peace and live in Elmwood Park. I
was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, but was raised in Union City. I joined
the Franciscan Sisters in 1964. I have been an elementary and high school
teacher, as well as a Parish Director of Religious Education, an Assistan
Diocesan Director of Catechetics for the Paterson Diocese, and Pastoral
Associate at an urban parish. I enjoy reading, theater, music, (I attempt to play violin!) and swimming. I have five nieces and nephews who are the joy of my life. If you are not sure who I am, just look for the shortest member of the parish staff. I am also known for offering cookies to the children who visit the parish center. |
