  Mary's Bio

Mary Lowe has been working in the fields of Religious Education and Family Ministry since 1960. She began her career as an educator at a Native American Reservation known as the Wind River Reservation in Riverton, Wyoming. Mary worked with the Shoshoni and Arapahoe tribes learning their cultures and integrating their cultural values into her teaching. She continued to teach in the Catholic Schools until 1979.

 

 

Mary received her M.A. in Family Ministry in 1979 from Fordham University. In 1980 she began her ministry to children and families in the field of Religious Education and Family Ministry. In 1991 she graduated from Seton Hall with an Ed.S, a post graduate degree in marriage and family therapy and was state licensed as a therapist in 1993.

 

Mary combines her educational and psychological and spiritual training to provide an integrated approach to the faith growth and development of children and adults. She completes her sixteenth year here at Sacred Heart in Haworth.
